Susan Pordage has extensive experience working with individuals with a cognitive disability. She has over 25 years experience working with a wide range of people with disabilities from mental illness, autism, learning disabilities, dementia, acquired brain injury, cerebral vascular accidents and various other conditions.
Susan has been in private practice since 1998. Susan began her practice as an occupational therapist in 1994 after graduating from the University of Sydney. She has been working in various roles such as rehabilitation settings, Residential Aged Care Facilities, Aged Care Psychiatry and rehabilitation.
Susan was mentored by Claudia Allen, the original author of the Allen Cognitive Levels and the Allen Cognitive Disability Model from 2012 till her recent passing on 26 February 2019. Susan assists with several study groups using the ACLS-6 in the United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia.
Susan is currently a registered occupational therapist with AHPRA. She is a member of Occupational Therapy Australia and the Allen Cognitive Network. Susan is also a registered NDIS provider
